Manuel Mensà

CAMEROPERA is Italy’s foremost Chamber Opera Company, founded by  soprano drammatico Maestro Manuel Mensà in 2008.

By representing unusual, original and innovative productions, CAMEROPERA wants to incline the less prepared audience and the new younger audience towards a musical genre considered "too much cultured". We propose "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Zanetto" as Operas which can represent in the best way the Italian "nature" and whose actions also take place in Italy, so they can be well suitable for both Italian and International audiences.

The main character, acting Santuzza in "Cavalleria rusticana" and Silvia in "Zanetto" is Maestro Manuel Mensà, the only male dramatic soprano in the world, a perfect fusion between female vocal extension and male vocal power. His full vocality, his bursting vocal power, his loud high notes  and the depth of the low sounds, make of him the ideal intepreter. Maestro Mensà takes care personally of the set design, direction and costumes in every representation.

CAMEROPERA is innovation in the tradition.
